Dolphin Awareness Campaign

Fostering Compassion Through Project Dolphin
Grades: VI to VIII
In alignment with the Central Government’s “Project Dolphin” initiative, a Dolphin Awareness Campaign was conducted for students of Grades VI to VIII on 3rd June 2025. The session aimed to sensitize young minds about the importance of preserving India’s aquatic biodiversity, with a special focus on Gangetic dolphins—one of the nation’s most endangered species.
The event featured:
● An informative video introducing children to the world of dolphins—their habitat, behavior, and the threats they face
● A brief talk on “Dolphin,” a symbolic mascot used to engage and educate students on conservation goals
● Thoughtful reflections from students on how they can contribute to dolphin protection through conscious choices and awareness
● A unifying oath-taking ceremony, where students pledged to become ambassadors for aquatic life, vowing to respect and protect marine ecosystems
The campaign successfully ignited a deeper sense of empathy and ecological responsibility, reminding students that every ripple of awareness can lead to waves of change.
